Arpi’s Industries, a full service mechanical contractor, provides heating, air conditioning, ventilation and plumbing, and air quality solutions to homes in Calgary and surrounding communities from Airdrie to Okotoks and Strathmore to Redwood Meadows.

Started in 1963 by Arpad (Arpi) Berdin as Arpi’s Heating, the company has grown into one of Canada’s largest and most successful mechanical contractors.  Arpi was born in Lendava in 1935 as a member of the Hungarian minority in the Perjure region of what is today Slovenia.  He moved to Canada at age 19 and started work as a driller/tool push in the oil industry.  Within a few years, he became interested in the sheet metal and ventilation industry and, from those humble beginnings, started Arpi’s Heating.

Running the business out of a double garage in those early years, Arpi began its phenomenal expansion and growth, adding both commercial work and plumbing services to its growing list of residential customers.  Arpi built the business by placing strong importance on the relationships with employees, customers, and suppliers, a tradition carried forward today.
